Gouda's senior thesis from when he was a student

Motoko : "Given that Cyberbrains Govern Socialization, Which Do They Favor? Collectivity or Individuality? A New Theory of Heroism from the Standpoint of a Producer."

I know GiTS is fiction, but i wished the writers released that thesis.
That would be an amazing read.

Is it just me or does that whole sentence explain indepth of what Gouda was planning. With the indiviual Eleven.

Ha, good point. I hadn't really noticed that before.

I don't get why he was trying to defect to the american empire in the end tho. if that was his plan all along then why did he need to start a civil war, just for the kicks?

If Gouda tried to defect at the beginning, there would have been no particular reason for the AE to take him in or treat him as anyone important. By almost starting the civil war, which the AE has also wanted, he had proved his worth to them.

Plus Gouda is a very strange man with an inferiority complex towards society. So, yeah, wanting kicks probably had something to do with it as well.
