Will the U.S. ever get a version of this movie with an English dub. I know they realeased one in teh U.K.
But I don't want to shell out money for a region 2 DVD player.
Is all hope lost?
The stupidity of the human race never ceases to amaze me.
I remember hearing back when the region 2 disk came out that the dub was intended to be a region 2 exclusive and supposedly would remain that way. There hasn't been any mention of region 1 getting the dub but I wouldn't count it out. It may be a while more but my bet is that it's carried over someday. I prefer English dubs and fortunately I have a region free player. The R2 edition is fantastic. Great special features in a handsome case. You can get region free players for pretty cheap.

Bandai will release the movie here with an English dub on R1 DVD and Blu Ray for the first time ever in the U.S.
