who would maek this movier better tne RAY????

who do you think would make this movie better then Rayomnd Romano.

I would replace Ray with Jim Carrey. But the main problem is the lackluster writing, little character development (I honestly didn't give a sh*t who won the election), have the filmmakers take their time to make the film funny. I laughed maybe 3 times, and I honestly don't see what they were trying to make funny.

Which is sad, because Ray can do so much better, which shows in Everybody Loves Raymond.

No one was home. No lights were on.....No dinner!

I think it would have been best if that role was a little supporting role, played by someone like Jeff Daniels, and if hadn't tried to have so many punchlines, what, di they think they were writing a sitcom?

I would prefer to watch a dead hamster decompose than watch this guy star in a movie.

Everyone Loves Raymond? Not this guy.

I just saw the directory's commentary on the DVD and a lot of the really funny lines came from Ray. Even some of the other characters' funny lines were Ray's idea. My only complaint is that sometimes in small town films, the town itself is a character and its important to keep that small-town atmosphere, and Ray's not in touch with small-town life in any way, so his humor doesn't reflect it. If you watch stuff like Doc Hollywood, Mystery Alaska, Trapped in Paradise, Shipping News, etc, where the character of the town feels really authentic you'll see something missing in this, and maybe that's Ray Romano's Long Island humor.

Overall, I liked him though

I rather see Jim Carrey try to play Hamlet than watch Ray Romano play anything.

Anyone would be better. Friggin circus monkeys are funnier then Romano in this movie. His 'acting' / whining, wears thin faster then Deborah turns him down for sex.
