Which one is worse, this or Disaster Movie?
To be honest, I have no idea. Both of these movies have awful unfunny humor and downright awful scenes.
Not to mention horrible story.
I really don't know which one I find worse.
Disaster Movie is by far a worse film.
While it's a pretty terrible film, Son of the Mask at least shows some semblance of creativity, even though it fundamentally fails and doesn't work. And you can tell at least some effort was put into Son of the Mask, misguided though it may be.
Disaster Movie shows no creativity or effort whatsoever. At least Son of the Mask has some interesting creepy designs and some nice quirky references to classic cartoons and animation. Disaster Movie can't even deliver a single thought-out shot.
They're both awful films, but I'd much rather re-watch Son of the Mask.

I'd rather castrate myself with a soldering iron than watch either of them again, but I was pretty much going to say the same thing. Indeed, as detestable as Son of the Mask is there is at least some level of attempt at creativity and effort of some kind. The same can't be said quite frankly for any of the movies directed by the hacks who made Disaster Movie.

The thing is, I feel the filmmakers and actors participating in Son of the Mask had their hearts in the right place and thought they were making a good film. They just failed catastrophically. But, as I said in my previous post... at least they tried, unlike SOME other filmakers, haha.
