Gibbs first case with Franks. We got shown Tony as a cop. I would like to see Gibbs as a Probie. I think they can pull it off and would give a reason to bring back Franks for an episode.

If I remember correctly, I think they did show some scenes with Franks and Gibbs as a Probie.

It was really quick. I would like a whole episode on it. The scene you are talking about was after Gibbs first coma on the show when he was remembering the past.

I thought that was Leon at the end of (I think) "Enemies Domestic," wasn't it? I remember thinking that was the first time we knew that Gibbs and Vance actually knew each other before Vance took over from Jenny.

Franks left Gibbs alone with the case file about Shannon and Kelly's deaths. Gibbs went out and committed murder after that.

May I never see Franks again.

I refuse to be outwitted by a 2-dimensional character in a cheap romantic thriller!

he killed the guy that was responsible for killing his wife and child, I would have done the same, loved it whether he was an agent or not.

Doesn't matter Gibbs wasn't an agent yet. What matters is Frans knew exactly what Gibbs would do.
Franks, not giving a damn what could happen to Gibbs had a grieving husband and father commit murder because he couldn't get him back to legally pay for killing first the Marine and then the NIS agent and by extension Shannon & Kelly when the car careened out of control when the bullet hit the NIS agent's head.

No Franks again ever! Hopefully Gibbs never call him back from banishment when Gibbs told him to "get lost" before he got put under when he was shot at the end of Season 12.

Yeah, as much as I understand why a husband and father would want that kind of revenge, I thought Franks was terrible for pushing (I can't think of a better word right now) Gibbs, who was unstable and grieving, to commit murder. Still, I can't hate Gibbs for it. While it was premeditated, Gibbs wasn't in his right mind then, IMO.

I don't like Franks and never did. But one reason I can't hate Gibbs is that when it came down to it, he told Abby to do her job and let the chips fall where they may. He wasn't going to confess (don't blame him for that), but wouldn't ask Abby to cover it up. She made that decision on her own.

Don't miss Mike Franks even a tiny bit and didn't like how he kept coming back from the dead, much like how MW compared the recurrant notion of Tony and Ziva together to herpes: A bad thing that just won't go away.

Personally I'm not interested in the personal stories of the agents, so Gibbs and Franks doesn't appeal to me. Besides, they'd have to dye the actors' hair to make them look younger, and when shows do that it always looks really hokie. 
