Improvisation

So started watching this show yesterday (the main reason was Michael cera) but I'm just curious how much of it was improvised? Or is it intentionally like that? I'm not complaining, I love it, just curious

Very little to no improvisation. Just quality writing.

Not a whole lot of improv, but a lot of fantastic writing and direction. However, many of the actors had input on how their characters would perform. David Cross had a lot of input regarding the actions that his character took specifically, since he was only supposed to be in the pilot episode.

For example, they didn't originally want the Tobias Character to have a mustache because it's too "threatening" in TV language.

That's not really improv, but keep watching and just kind of see how Tobias moves around.

Whenever I get a wee bit sad I hum a little tune...

Ha. I love that the least threatening character is the one with the "threatening" mustache.

Seize the moment, 'cause tomorrow you might be dead.
