Questions about Holland Taylor's character...

...She played Charlie's mom. How often was she on the show? I was never a loyal viewer, so I have no idea, but being that I'm a pretty big Holland Taylor fan lately, I was just wondering. I have a sudden surge of interest in the show, thanks to her, and would like to know if she's a regular.

In other words, if I start watching this show from beginning to end, will she be in every season? I notice that she's only listed as being in 100+ episodes, whereas the show lasted for over 200 episodes. So, does that mean she is in every episode until a certain season, so was she there sporadically, for the whole run of the show?

Also, did her character ever get with a woman or come out as gay? I know some here may have joked about that, but I'm genuinely curious.

Evelyn appears in every season, at least from the Charlie era, but only in a certain amount of episodes per season; I can't tell you exactly how many and it likely varies from season to season. She was definitely a major character on the show. And yes, in the later seasons it was implied that she is bisexual. There's one episode where she's about to tell Jake about a woman she "experimented" with before Charlie and Alan were born, but Alan of course freaks out and shuts her up before she can go into details. Then there's an episode from season eight where Charlie and Alan set her up on a date with Russell the pharmacist who of course shows up with a hot younger woman. Evelyn storms off in anger and the younger woman goes after her to comfort her and the two of them end up taking a shower together, much to Charlie and Alan's horror.
