Schwarzenegger: inside joke?

I haven't seen the last episode (heck, I'm still in Season 2... :p), but I see that Schwarzenegger plays in it, and I wonder if they put him as an inside joke because in Season 1, in one of Lorre's vanity cards, he says as a joke "Governor Schwarzenegger".
