Actually... You are WAY WRONG! Ashton is box office poison, and now TV too.

Jake was ALWAYS dumb and stupid - watch every scene he has with Alan when he studies (this is way before season 5) - hate people who claim they made him dumb - he was always dumb - but in the later seasons he became a cliched weed freak (Eldridge was the poison of those scenes IMO)

Alan was ALWAYS petty - he was more mature in season 1 - when characters are just starting to get their grove - which happens in EVERY SITCOM - but he was definitely petty by season 2

Nope. He saved the show and kept it going for 4 more seasons. The show with Charlie would have never made it to 12 seasons. Around Season 6 and Season 7 the show got really stale and bad. Season 8 was a bit better. Ashton brought new life to the show. Hate on Seasons 9-12 all you want, hate on Ashton, but the fact remains that he didn't kill the show. Get over it. I still lmfao at the fuzz fetching skin puppets who thought the show would end only a few episodes into Season 9.
