Half-Life 2: Episode Three...

I know they're currently working on it but... IS IT EVER COMING OUT!? It's been two years already and all we have is some concept art of the Borealis and no other updates. I'm not trying to sound like an impatient ass (although it's probably what I sound, or read like) but everytime (no more than once a month... I'm not that obsessed) I go online to see if there's any news about Ep. 3 and see the same ol' crap, it pisses me off. That's all.

I think most of us fans are getting pretty cheesed off with them at this stage. They promised us episodic releases would mean we would get them without a long delay between games.

If they take THIS long and end up realising something thats not worth the wait, it could do major damage to the franchise :(

they are making soo much money on the Left 4 Dead series

putting episode 3 on the back burner makes sense financially

they at least give the license for a third party to do an expansion pack like

they did with gearbox opposing force and blue shift

i would love to see how barney infiltrated the combine

or they could throw Adrian Shephard in another city not in eastern Europe

maybe south America or Australia he could fight a losing battle against a citadel

that is slowly taking over a city

or they could do the Seven Hour War

or they could do a prequel with alex vance and dog and you could play as either character

there is sooo much they could still do with the half life 2 IP

but hey left 4 dead is fun fast and cheap and it makes a lot of money

and i like it too so....

The Half-Life 2 episodes are technically considered sequel material.

I guarantee you 1 of 2 things will happen here.

1) Episode 3 just happens to be long, large and epic...

2) Or they end up turning and titling Episode 3, Half-Life 3.

It will most likely be released on the next gen console/pcs.

So maybe 2015-ish.

Well its 2013 and we've still had virtually nothing from Valve, which IMO shows how little they care about their fanbase.

I dont hold out hope we even get to see episode 3 or Half Life 3 by 2015 at this point. I'd love to be proven wrong.

indeed...almost 4 years after my post still not a word about half-life 3.

lets wait another 4 years and see if its released :/

Come October is eight-years since Episode Two was released.

i think the next half-life will be a showcase for whatever they think of next. for example steam was introduced with half-life 2 so im thinking they will do the same for half-life 3?

I'd guess that episode 3 will release not long before Half Life 3 and that it'll contain a demo of Half Life 3 as well.
