Sorry, but I've never had problems with seasickness playing FPSs.

The same thing used to be said about the first Doom, but it's more true of HL2 because they purposefully restricted the field of view, to something like 70 degrees. True fact. Most FPSs are 90 degrees.

Haze on PS3... I've only played the demo, but I couldn't even finish it because it made me so sick.

The dialog and stupidity of it was bad enough, but then the swaying and motion of the head really did me in... *deleted*

It made me motion sick too! That's what I just came on this board to see if anyone else had the same reaction! LOL

Granted, I'm not the biggest FPS fan, but I recently finished playing Bioshock over the past few weeks and had no trouble getting through Condemned 2. But the movement of this character seems SO UNNATURAL! I'm sliding around like I'm ice skating through these levels. I'm swooshing from side to side, forward and back. Can this guy not just stop walking, he's got to slide into place?

I couldn't get more than a few levels into this, but I don't think I'll be picking it up again. I bought the Orange Box for Portal and enjoyed that just fine. However, I'm afraid however great Halfife 2 may be, I'll never know for myself!

are u (and this goes for the OP too) playing on a pc? if thats the case, maybe your mouse sensitivity is too high. that would explain the unnatural movement, because i think the movement is just fine, but i always use a lower mouse sensitivity

I am free in all the ways that you are not

Nope PS3, on a nice big HD screen. I think the problem is the narrow viewing angle. Bioshock gives you the option of switching between a narrower and wider angle and I felt much comfortable playing on the wider setting.

You know, that's why I hated playing this game at first... I'd always get headaches from playing it, but then I got used to it and I finished it. I thought the story got really interesting later on in the game.

I just read Game Informer's Top 200 Games of All Time and this was listed as #5. I know I'm doing myself a disservice by not playing it. Perhaps I'll have to venture back into it... a little bit at a time.
