Personally I don't believe a movie would do the Half-Life story justice. It has to be experienced to fully enjoy the detail that's been put into it. Personally though, I feel maybe a miniseries like Band of Brothers might work, but only after the release of Half-Life 3. When the story is fully developed, so it won't be butchered by hollywood like Doom and Resident Evil.
