Absolurely no connections to "Fear and loathing in las vegas"

imdb titles it as sequel(!) to Fear and loathing in las vegas (in movie conections). trying to delete it, but they keep it (lol)

I suppose in a roundabout way it was a loose prequel. Paul Kemp was a fictionalized version of Hunter S. Thompson as a young man starting his career. Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas was a fictionalized version of Hunter S. Thompson about a decade later. Not to mention Where the Buffalo Roam being the same.

i was hoping it would be a prequel when i was about to watch it and when i watched it i felt it could be a loose prequel like the poster above me says. but he does not act like thompson in fear and loathing, at all, in which i though he may have.
