Strange film

I'd sum up the film in three words: neurotic, chaotic, tender.

There are simpler ways to tell the stories of death, or the ending of life. I kept asking throughout the film "what the hell am I watching?". There were quite a few tender moments, in-between the chaos.

I have to say the gigantic New York set looked fantastic. Really stunning on that part.

Caden has gone through so much, and it's kind of depressing to watch. There's hardly any hope in this film.

Philip Seymour Hoffman was such a great actor. The rest of the cast did really well.

But it's a film that's a real downer, and a one-time watch for me.
