Boycotted this movie until today...

Wow, just horrendous.

I mean seriously. They took an elegant, badass fighting machine, and made her fighting slow and awkward. Her blades were way too big and if they'd done right by her, would've used some form of CGI to make it so she could move quickly during the intense battles (i.e Wolverine in the X Men films). She looked so awkward, even her 90degree spin move looked terrible.

And another question, why build the story as a prequel? The original Nazi-killing Dhampir story was already where it needed to be...not sure why they couldn't just have flashbacks if they desperately wanted some old backstory.

Hell, they even managed to make the over-the-top gore of the games look bad on screen.

And the actress...simply awful. I pray Uwe Boll dies a slow painful death.

Please don't tell me you appreciated this film.

Odd, I thought my criticisms were well constructed. Could you elaborate on what makes you so much more grown up with than me?

Um, no. This movie was horrendous. Just awful. I saw that BloodRayne was available on Netflix to watch instantly, so I thought, "hey, Michael Madsen and Ben Kingsley, so it can't be that bad!" Well, I hadn't seen a Uwe Boll film before, so I had no idea that he'd let his actors lazily recite their lines like they're being read from cue cards. The effects were cheesy, but almost like they're meant to be made fun of. The fight scenes, save for Michele Rodriguez, were full of painfully slow motions, like they just filmed the slow motion practice. And, the acting... wow. Ben Kingsley seemed to give it enough effort, perhaps out of a respect for the art (even in the midst of a mess). But, Michael Madsen looked like he didn't want to be doing the movie the entire time. Kristianna Loken did about as well as I expected, but that's not saying much. In the end, there's no reason to tell a person to grow up after stating any extreme degree of dislike for this film, because this film was just that bad.
