I know they might explain it in the movie but I was just reading the plot description and horrible ratings, so can someone tell me if there is a logical explanation in the movie for this?
I think the mistake a lot of us make is thinking the stateappointed shrink is our friend
I was going to say the same thing. There's a little trick that filmmakers use, called a "flashback." It is used to establish a fact in the present that occurred in the past. It is most often used when the fact that needs establishing doesn't need a full scene, but just a brief mention. Mostly it's used to get the point out there without it dragging the film's pacing down.
Actually in regards to the rape there is a part which is kinda odd. Rayne says that Kagan raped AND killed her mother right in front of her eyes, which is complete bollocks, like the poster earlier said she was conceived by Kagan raping her mother so how the *beep* would she be able to see that with her own eyes?
I know overall she probably meant that she was just killed in front of her eyes but it's said in such a daft fashion that it sounds like she saw the rape and the murder at the same time.
