The budget was reportedly 25 mill....it had to go to the actors. How does this douchebag get these actors in his films?? In his next movie it has Ron Perlman listed as a star. Ben Kingsley goes from "In the House of Sand and Fog" to this.....Madsen is Tarantinos wipping boy, could'nt Quentin give him a call and tell him not to do this. Christian Slater and Tara Reid doing "Alone in the Dark" is one thing as they both are done in mainstream Hollywood, but Lokan, Rodriguez, Kingsley and Madsen have something left to offer. Maybe they all got 7 figure paychecks....any ideas, any theories????

I think Uwe Boll is one hell of a salesman, and Sir Kingsley is to polite of a man to walk off the set. That's MY theory.

I really think his entire budget does to actors. The man can't even spend enough money and not making his movies look like they were filmed by middle school kids.

Just think most of us do a normal 9-5 type job,or shift work like me,just think you could be making films like this,and getting paid,having a laugh,lots of good looking women,yeah cant think why madsen wanted to make this lol

Kingsley's line of thinking was probably something like.

"Oh hell, I've always wanted to play a vampire and I'm not going to be around forever. Why not? Besides, in a few years I'm not going to be lucid enough to remember this *beep* anyway."

Michael Madsen looks like he was drunk for about eighty percent of his scenes.
