OK, this is what the movie is like...
I wanted to get Bloodrayne for a while now (from the game) and saw it last night. Wow, I must admit, even though i watched it till the end, I was very dissapointed.
The acting is quite bad, forced somewhat (even for Madsen, Kingsley and Rodriguez), Christana Loken is quite hot, but doesn't seem to pull the character together. She has absolutely no agility, or speed when in combat. The fight sequences look choreographed. The sword fighting is very slow, kind of like watching a theatre show. The blood looks very, very fake, it spurts out so unrealistically. There are tons of goofs, and inconsistencies. And then the script, is like a combination of Underworld meets Blade. Surprised that Uwe Boll made this movie like this. Its low-budget, even the swords look theatrical. I would have preferred, Ridley Scott or someone who has his act in gear as the director for a game-based character like Bloodrayne.
On the whole, when there's nothing at the dvd shop and this came on TV, it would entertain on that level.
