Typical sentence?

I loved he movie and just finished it. I know Vera got a 2 and a half year sentence for the specific case of pamela barnes. But for that time, what was the typical jail time for a crime like that? I know her solicitor said her min. jail time is 1 and half and obviously she got more, but was it A LOT more or still somewhat decent for the offense?

Couldn't have been much more. At the end, when Vera is talking to her "new friends" who are also in prison for the same crime, they were all repeat offenders. So the sentence couldn't have been too harsh.
