Good directors, writers, producers, and movies crews are all very imortant. Yet if a movie doesnt have one of those or any of those, throw Christopher Walken in there and it makes up for it. You can take almost any movie and replace one of the actors with Christopher walken and it will suddenly become a hit. This movie has a first time director so we'll just have to wait for the trailer, but chances are either way, walken can turn this into a hit.

Okay, while this is almost always true, you're forgeting about Gigli, The Country Bears, and Envy. I've never seen any of those, but I hear they suck. It seems even the great Chris Walken has limitations.
shareI just went to watch it. Why it doesn't have a larger release I'll never know. He was soo good in it I heard many sniffles throughout the entire film as well as a few laughs.
I read this actor rarely turns a role down because he believes each movie he makes means he's gained new experience and knowledge, which is something more people should do than think about the popularity or money involved.
I don't know...could Walken go for an Oscar nomination for this movie? I think it would blow everyone away.

Yeah, he's cool. He already won an oscar, though. For "The Deer Hunter", in my opinion one of the most powerful and well-acted movies ever.

shareYou know, maybe his wife disapproves of him in a romantic role. Maybe he's choosing the odd roles because they are more rewarding and new all the time. There are soo many reasons. I think an interviewer should ask him that question. Wonder what kind of answer he would give.

This movie was a delightful surprise by a first time director. ( I'm surprised by the 5.9 rating ) Even great actors are only as good as the script, story and direction will allow them to be. Low budget, charactor driven films ROCK. See this one.
shareI feel this is a wonderful and meaningful story. The actors did an excellent job and the direction was great! I find it hard to find meaning in most of the big budget "block busters" and this low budget film was so refreshing. It was sad and had some humor, but more importantly it makes you think about family, love and forgiveness.
I highly reccomend this movie to anyone who is fed up with the typical hollywood crap that feeds the ignorant masses. :)
