Why do people hate the ORGY? I found it hilarious!

I mean, all these people, baying for Grenouille's blood with such a brutal execution after he's committed several murders, and ultimately, thanks to his Perfume, they end up not only sparing him, robing him, worshipping and adoring him as some divine earthbound angel, but then proceed to have a massive sexual orgy to celebrate His Divine Self. And then proceed to feel maximum ultra-embarrassment once the Divine Perfume wears off. Not to mention the extreme courage that scene must've taken for so many participants to disrobe in front of the cameras in such suggestive ways - it must be THE most mass-erotic scene to be committed to film, EVER, and yet it gets barely a mention.

This alone is the reason I appreciate this film!

Why are you here if you haven't seen the movie yet?

I wasn't expecting it and it does leave an impact on the viewer. It's one of those tidbits that led me to think "No way could an American filmmaker direct this movie." We're too prudish.
