Criminally Underrated

This is an extraordinary film. A true modern Disney classic. And while I adore Frozen as well, I still find Tangled superior. Yet Tangled received absolutely no recognition. Not even an oscar mom for best animated feature. I See the Light lost too. I really don't understand that. It's such an amazing film.

While Tangled is my favorite Disney film, I would never call it or any other Disney film underrated. That kind of distinction is reserved for animated films like Metropolis or Summer Wars. Also, can we just leave Frozen alone already? At this point, that film is almost underrated given all the hate it's received. I don't like the idea of pushing a film up by knocking another down anyway. Just the same, why does it always have to be Frozen? Big Hero 6 and Zootopia are even more prime examples of films with undue praise, where's that backlash? Anyways, realistically let's just keep loving Tangled and leave films we like less alone.

I think you mean overrated? People have nothing but praise for this film in spite of its bland heroes, poor moral messages, fluffy pop soundtrack, and overall lack of originality.

Underrated? That would be Sleeping Beauty, Bambi, and Fantasia.

I tried atheism but wasn't pious enough.

I wouldn't think its underrated but I was annoyed that it NEVER won an Oscar for Best Animated Feature.Honestly if Toy Story 3 was nominated than it might have won. I mean it never even was nominated for best animated feature back in 2011.

Absolutely. It's Disney's best movie since Tarzan. It's the only movie from the new millennium that comes even close to the Renaissance movies.

Have you seen "Big Hero 6", also a Disney film from recent years? Terrific movie, if very different than the wonderful "Tangled".

And no, "Tangled" isn't underrated, everyone loves it.

When Tangled was announced to be released after The Princess And The Frog many fans were surprised because this was the first time that Disney did a movie on Rapunzel. But I think what really caused Tangled to recieve no promotion was that Disney kept messing with the story and changed voice actors and had they kept the movie title as Rapunzel the film would've been successful and they should've kept Kristin Chenoweth as the original voice of Rapunzel rather than changing it to Mandy Moore and it would've been better. Why they named Rapunzel Tangled is beyond me and changing the title means that this was gonna be a comedy take on Rapunzel and leaving the original Rapunzel story alone. But for such a movie to be a slow starter at theaters at first Tangled has suddenly become popular and even spun off a cartoon series. But if you look at Disney Princess merchandise you'll see more Rapunzel merchandise more often than Jasmine merchandise or Tiana merchandise so I think due to Tangled The Series Tangled has regained popularity once again
