Best thanksgiving scene in a movie award

seeing the snobby girl's parents rolling on the floor, barely coherent and trying to eat after taking some 'shrooms, hilarious stuff

reply

CLEARLY you've never seen "The Doors"

EXACTLY what i was thinking when i saw the thread title...

Um...I've seen "The Doors," and I remember the Thanksgiving scene in that film.

Liked this one better. So rarely do movies get mushroom scenes right. This one did.

I've tripped shrooms several times, and never have I experienced or seen anybody experience near-catatonia and drooling incoherence. It was a silly representation of a mushroom experience; a stereotype of what stronger hallucinogens do to you. The only accurate thing was when the blond girl said "it'll change your life."

I've gotten all but catatonic like that before. I did so many shrooms once that I just sat on the sofa in a ball listening to New Age music, and it was the most intense experience ever. Another night I tripped (I've done it over 25 times now) one of my friends laid on the floor of my room and just stared at the individual threads of the carpet in my apartment.

Not a stereotype. It actually occurs.

Best scene of the movie. I'm with the others on the accuracy of how they acted on shrooms but it was comical none the less. If they'd actually been acting like how people act on shrooms it would have taken away from the rest of the scene
