Ethan Thomas should've been "attacked" instead...

Thematically speaking.

Instead of Erin waking up at 3 am and being harassed, it should've been him.

I would've liked to have seen how this character would've dealt with it. I would like to have seen how he would deal with it in regards to his case and how it would've affected his strategy.

It would've conflicted nicely with his "faith" and his duty and obligation of representing 'the people'.

I think this would have been pretty cool to see.

Anyone else have an opinion on this matter? Am I alone in this?

Mischief. Mayhem. Soap.

I never really thought about it, but that would be a good one. Maybe they both could have experienced something and we can see the reactions between them both. That might make the film too long. It an interesting idea though.

No you are not, I wanted to see Ethan Thomas witness the occurances himself, I hated how treated the Father on the stand, he was a real a$$hole. Would've been great if it DID happen to him. Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy.

As I mentioned in the thread I posted, I believe this movie is about the "War on Drugs". Ethan Thomas is on the side of oppression. There's no one kicking in his door at 3:00 am to bust him for growing pot.

I kept waiting for exactly this twist.
