The only good "exorcism" movie after "The Exorcist"!
.
The rest was all bullsh*t!
Do you agree?
Yes
shareYes. Ever since I saw the Exorcist as a teen I've been very interested into the subject. I've read many books on the subject and watched documentaries too. Most movies do not hold the realism to actual cases. They are meant to be more dramatic and frightening.
The Exorcist is very detailed and explains the concept of exorcisms. It also is based on a real case. The movie follows it pretty well and is very frightening.
This one too is based off a real case and after I read about and saw the photos I admit I was scared. The movie covers it well too even though it's moved from Germany to the USA.
So yet I do believe in possession and exorcisms. As I've grown in my faith I've become interested in the concept of exorcisms.
I also liked The Last Exorcism, The Possession and Deliver Us from Evil.
shareScott Derrickson is the best with these. He directed Emily Rose and Deliver us.
shareScott Derrikson is a great director. He also did Sinister. I love how he blends crime thrillers with the supernatural, two of my favorite genres.

Definitely. The Exorcist and this are the top in this genre for sure. I don't think anything has came close to topping these two. And another good point is that The Exorcist nor The Exorcism Of Emily Rose rely on jump scares, the rest are rife with them.

All great answers on this thread. I'm glad to see other people liked it.
shareDupa dealuri (2012) is a good movie, not horror.
sharePerhaps "The Conjuring" comes first... then, Emily Rose! The Last Exorcism (the first chapter not the second garbage) was interesting too, IMO.
The rest including Deliver of Us from Evil, yeah... seem just as how you described. Agreed!
Sorry, I disagree. The Exorcist 3 is one of the best horror films of all time, talk about a great film. About to re-watch Emily Rose again so I'll see how it turns out, remember thinking it was alright. Never been a huge fan of possession films but Exorcist 1 & 3 are certainly the best the sub genre has to offer.
