One dollar bail?

Is that typical in New York or elsewhere? Even Bree seemed shocked, but the one time I ever bailed somebody out (for accidentally driving with a suspended license he had no way of knowing about) it was around $1000 bail.

I'm not from New York, but I think the point was that Toby was underage and the police/courts wanted an adult to come forward and take responsibility for him, so the $1 bail being just a formality.

A friend of mine was caught with two ounces of marijuana in Brooklyn, about 10 years ago. His bail was exactly a buck.
