The other 2005 "War of the Worlds" movie

I have always enjoyed this movie even though it has a real mood of doom about it.

Turns out there was another one made this year, starring the good old Christopher Thomas Howell:

I checked it out last night and it was so bad. I switched it off as the first alien machine came up.

(It's not on MovieChat for some reason, must be that bad.)

that version is not even that bad. it's way better than the other 2005 war of the worlds that takes place in the 1800's. that movie is one of the worst films ever. the c thomas howell version is better than spielgerb. this movie fuckin sucks. the characters are all horrible people. tom cruise plays a lazy asshole who hates his children and never learns his lesson, wow i really want to root for that guy! c thomas howell is at least likeable.
