Where there was obviously an active battle line and nothing good beyond it?

I get it with Robbie because Robbie's a f*cking imbecile, but why would so many unarmed civilians be charging towards that?

A line of tanks, troops and missile launchers that are clearly engaging the enemy seems like an inadvisable place to go on a search. What are they going to do when they get to the top of the ridge where all that action is?
