I feel like Veronica settled for Logan

Her and Duncan were ill-fated so she settled. It always seemed like Duncan was her one true love but because of circumstances beyond their control they could never really be together. He left (and also because the actor wanted out) so she ended up with Logan.

I feel the same way. It took her forever to get over losing Duncan the first time. When she and Logan broke up, she got over him pretty quickly and moved back to Duncan. When Duncan left for good, it took a little while before she decided she'd settle for Logan. And just like before, it didn't last long.

Duncan was her true love. I think she was both attracted and afraid of Logan's bad boy self. She was drawn to him but then would realize she couldn't live in his dangerous and self-destructive world.

hm... It can seems that way, but it was obvious that she always had strong feelings for Logan and they were meant to be... Duncan was just her first love but he never was "the one", they were cute together but nothing more, I always thought that Logan understood Veronica more and he was the only one who could keep up with the witty banter.

Duncan was her first real boyfriend and I never thought they were meant to be, personally I found Duncan boring and bland and couldnt see any appeal to him at all. I was glad when he finally left the show.

Duncan was her first love, not necessarily her only love. I don't believe she settled for Logan. I believe they were supposed to end up together. There were no sparks between Veronica and Duncan, but plenty between her and Logan. They were both angry and distrusting of everyone, dealing with their anger in different ways, both self destructive. Duncan was not strong enough, emotionally, to be able to handle Veronica's personality and strengh of will. I love how the movie ended!

In both instances, she didn't stop being with them due to falling out of love but extenuating circumstances.

Duncan broke up with her because he believed she was his sister. Their relationship never got a chance to evolve as most do.

She broke up with Logan because she was afraid for him and his destructive streak. She loved him but knew being with him wasn't safe.

She returned to Duncan not because he was the one or because she was passionately in love with him, but because he was safe compared to Logan and to also see where their relationship would go.

Long before Duncan ran away with his daughter you could see Things weren't really working out. Veronica was too hurt and effected by Logan's relationship with Kendall and Duncan was obviously still attached to Meg even before the baby reveal.

Logan and Veronica were never not together because they didn't love each other, but because they feared too much for the other ones life based on circumstances. (Logan's destructive streak and Veronica's PI tendencies).

Duncan will always have a place in her heart, first loves always do, but Logan was the first she truly gave herself too knowingly, openly and lovingly.

She did not settle for Logan. And what's a Duncan? 😂

Clark's destiny = Superman, LL &LL.

I completely agree. And why does every post that says that Veronica and Logan were "meant to be" does so without offering any support for the claim other than "it's obvious" which explains nothing and "Veronica and Duncan didn't have any chemistry" which is subjective.

which is subjective

Of course it is..... Just as "she settled for Logan" is. Majority of the comments on both sides of the topic are subjective and opinions.

To Love and win is the best thing. To Love and lose, the next best.

(If anyone ever comes back to the forum) I felt that the deleted scenes from Season 2 with Duncan in them helped make the case in my mind that he wasn't going to be the best match for Veronica. The dialogue and staging seemed strained, like the deleted scene where he essentially does a song and dance to declare his love in the schoolyard. Veronica's relationships with Logan had an edgier quality in that they had both loved Lily, both lost her, both lost parents -- they were coming from a similar place of mistrust, sarcasm, and loss.

That said, I'm not sure they should wind up together, at least not as the people they were at the time of the show. They wouldn't necessarily be good for each other, even though teh chemistry was electric. Ideally, they would both grow and change, then come back together again (as implied in the movie), but they were potentially disastrous with each other as teenagers.

I think part of the reason that Veronica had such a hard time getting over Duncan had to do with Lilly's death and her mom leaving. Her whole world had fallen apart....

I think she belongs with Logan. ;)
