Is this movie really the worst of the three?

The low rating surprises me. I thought the first two movies were excellent.

Yes, the first two were excellent. But, as they say, "Three's a crowd." But, I'm sure they can find new ways to make this look better, like, oh say, Shrek 4. Yup, that sounds about right. See, the best way to really ruin these movies, is that Donkey or Shrek weren't the father of the kids, right? Yup! Good ol' Jerry Springer to the rescue. I'm sure they could do, "Tonight on Springer, Ogres Gone Wild! I slept with Donkey's dragon." I'm sure they'd be willing to do that.

Life is like a box of condoms. Never know which one's gonna get you pregnant.

I loved 1 and 2. 3 really sucked.

Yeah, the bonus features on the dvd are really crappy. Especially the yearbook with the students of "whatever-it-was-called" school or academy. It included quotes of hundreds of characters that really weren't a part of the movie.
Totally boring.

reply

Yes, it's the worst.
The first two movies were funnier

As others have said, the worst of the current three by a mile. It's still tolerable... but only just.

It's made from bits of real panther, so you know it's good...

Shrek is supposed to be about discovering the true nature of the characters and them finding the lives they were really meant to live, regardless of what people think because of their appearances.

The problem is there's really not a lot to be discovered anymore and it's becoming kind of monotonous.

In the space of 3 movies he went from a conflicted societal reject to a guy coping with inlaws to sitting there talking about his "feelings". Where did the Ogre go?

I think by the time Shrek 5 comes out he'll be the night manager in a supermarket and we'll get to see him doing his taxes. He'll be like Bob Parr before Insuracare fired him and he became a Superhero again. The difference there is the people that made "The Incredibles" understood how boring this was.

We were expecting to see more of the babies. Not just the nightmare or the last two minutes of the film. That would have been much better, Shrek becoming a father in this movie and how he copes... not him running away from it.

I was disappointed with this one. I loved the first one and the second which is my favorite was also really good.

This one...not so much.

No. It's the worst of the 4

Yep. Shrek 4 actually was surprisingly not that bad.
