It is so disturbing to watch to this day.

I don't blame their goth friend for getting upset and lashing out at the funeral when the priest tried to justify what happened.
That was a horrific way to go.

Dropping into fluorescent bulbs.
Broken glass everywhere...
Melting plastic goggles into the eyes (the brunette's face and eyes at that point is the most horrific image)
Kicking the fan with bare feet...
Then just fire.
It truly is a brutal and painful demise; I think that's why it's one of the high points of the entire series. Those two actresses really went for it, and the pacing that takes the audience from "ooh boobies, giggle!" to *that* is classic.
I agree. It's the only Final Destination death scene I have to look away from. The others are all quite outlandish and cartoony but the sunbed..... *shudder*..
