Bill and his Visions

Bill provided for his family but his Visions were a double edged sword. I was just watching a few episodes on HBO Go and someone asked Barb what's next and she said something like it depends on Bill's next vision.

On one hand, you have to admit Bill followed through. He opened up the stores, Weber Gaming, Casino, ran for office and won and started a successful Church.

On the other hand, Bill was cold and as calculating as Roman when he had one of these visions. Also his wives had their lives uprooted as they went from vision to vision. Bill never asked them how they feel or he never worried how it would affect their lives.

He had the vision to run for office and come out as polygamist and basically told the wives he wasn't asking them , he was just telling them. When he went after Weber he got Roman shot by the Greene's and basically bought the company and said he's going forward no matter how the wives vote.

So one one hand, Bill followed through on his goals but it was at the expense of his wives and everyone around him.

I agree to an extent.

I'm a fan of Bill's because he provided for his family. I think if you're going to live that lifestyle, you need to be able to take care of the wives and kids.

Now that I think about it, I agree with you about the visions. When Bill had one of his visions, watch out. That's because his family and everyone around him will have to adjust to his Vision.

On the flip side, Margene for example, would have been a passed around little slut if it wasn't for Bill. He gave her structure and that's something she never had. Nicki would still be lost on the compound without Bill.

If there's a wife that was really hurt by Bill it's Barb. Bill truly took advantage of Barb when she was sick. She lost her relationship with her family, she got excommunicated, Bill slept with Margene and Ana before they were married. She just took it on the chin for Bill.

That was the enigma of Bill Henrickson. On one level he took his wives through hell. On the next level his family didn't want for anything.
