Are there any Australian movies about the Frontier Wars between whites and Aboriginals?
I know it is a very sensitive topic in Australia, but has anyone ever made a movie dealing with the warfare between Aboriginals and colonists? I know there are some small-scale movies like The Chant of Jimmie Blacksmith, The Tracker and Sweet Country. I have heard there were actually several large-scale battles fought involving hundreds of warriors, such as Battle Mountain in Queensland and Battle Camp on the Cape York Peninsula. Has anyone ever made a movie about one of those larger battles?
