I'm glad I finally gave in and watched this series. I'd assumed it was another anime drama that'd make little sense to the casual anime enthusiast. Far from it, it's had a clear story with good "break" episodes that relax from the main plot, but still keep it going. I don't think it's better or worse than Cowboy Bebop, but in its own category, right on par with its predecessor.
And the animation style was fantastic. 'Nuff said.

I didn´t resist it. I just had a lot of other animes to watch but finally I got around to this masterpiece. I see the resemblance to Cowboy Bebop in terms of the drawingstyle and some of the plot but I agree that they definitely stand on their own.
A great anime that made it in to my top three.

seemed kinda boring to me with a severely disjointed and anti-climatic ending =/
not really super bad, but definitely not going to watch again.

it was a decent series. The English dub was great, especially Mugen's voice. It was sad to see them separate in the end
