what seasons does the movie fall between? Does the series and movie interconnect?

No, it was between 6 & 7. Season 6 began in April 2006 then the movie came out in October 2006.

There is no connection between the series and the movie. It can not fit into the show's timeline. Trinity is even played by another actress.

No, I know there's no connection. But if you had to fit it in, it would take place between those seasons (for a few reasons, like Lahey's car getting destroyed).

^ That part kind of ruined it for me, her so young and smoking and stealing BBQ's just didn't seem funny or didn't seem to fit in, a girl about the age of trinity in the series would have been much better boys.
I think that was part of the humor and probably why they re-cast the part, that she was SO young and doing all that bad stuff. Having a 13 or 14 year old girl stealing and smoking would sadly just be kind of normal and not that funny.
sharewell i agree with teh between 5 and 6 BUT in the movie rickys dad isn't in jail and still faking the wheel chair *beep* and mid season 5 ray went to jail for fraud so it happens sometime around then but not directly related seeing as the movie takes place in the span of a month and laheys car is wrecked when season 6 starts so to be technical it ruffly falls between episode 5 "jim lahey is a *beep* and always will be"and episode 6 "Don't cross the *beep* lol
shareAs mentioned the top of Laheys car gets wrecked in both the movie and the show, different actress playing Trinity, Ray is still faking disability (which he stops doing before the top of the show is destroyed and Ricky and Lucy have yet to be successfully married in the show). Also Lucy and Ricky do get married in the movie while in the show Lucy mothers Randys baby. The boys end the movie rich and out of jail which only happens in the series at the end of season 7.
As for when it comes out, the answer is between 6 and 7.

the funny thing is, the reason the "Lahey-mobile" is missing it's roof and is wrecked at the beginning of season 6 is simply because the crew didn't want to build another New Yorker to look like the Lahey-mobile after flipping it for the movie, so they just brushed off the fact it was wrecked in the show by saying it happened while Lahey was drunk and didn't remember doing it.
