Why is it not a mockumentary?

I noticed, that this film diverts from the usual style of film making of the rest of the series and even the Countdown to liquor day. What is up with that? I much prefer the show when it seems like I'm watching COPS except from the criminal perspective. I think it was weird watching Trailer Park Boys that actually felt like I was watching a Professionaly done film with lots of cuts and nice shots rather than a couple camera guys with hand held cameras and the dick with the boom mike. I think Mike Clattenburg may have realized how awkward The Big Dirty was compared to the rest of the series and decided to do Countdown To Liquor day in true trailer park boys fashion. One thing I want to Add, I think this could have been a way better "happy" ending to the series even though I am very glad that they made more show after this film and another movie. I think the boys deserve a happy ending after all the *beep* they have gone through over the decade.

I was wondering the same as well. I guess they had to dumb it down a bit for the average american audience....

Yeah, I have to agree with you greasy Canucks on this. They really made it trash when they tried to sell it to Americans.

This version reminds me of Run, Ronnie Run versus the actual Mr. Show episodes. The creators attempt to turn what is essentially "skit comedy" into a full story feature film. And it rarely if ever works. On one hand i really despise this movie but on the other hand i am thankful that the cast and crew can consider this one a success, because they deserve that.

And besides ... Season 7 more than makes up for this awkward Amercanized version.
