So, one of my good friend's birthday is next week and I'm thinking about ordering it for her. We both love the series and she had seasons 1-3 on DVD but we think someone jacked them because they just disappeared after a party. Anyways, I'm we haven't really talked about the movie (I actually haven't seen it) so I don't know if she likes it or not. I wish I could get her a season (hell, if I'm wishing for things, the whole series) but I just don't have the money. So my question is, do most people who like the series like the movie? I really want to get her something good because she's such a sweet person and for my birthday she got my a "My So-called Life" tape, which if you knew me, is the perfect gift...last year I gave her one of my Super Nintendos, but I don't know if this is good enough...

It's just a longer version of an episode really. If you liked the series, you'll love the movies as well.

BTW, I know how you feel about having something like this stolen from a party. Back in the 80's, I brought my 'Song Remains the Same' (Led Zeppelin) album (yes, album, not CD or tape, but vinyl) to a party at this girl's house down the street. I was probably only about 15 or 16 at the time. She had an older sister around 20. Some of her friends were there and one of them swiped it from the party. I was SOOOO pissed.

Maybe not this movie. This movie was a non-canon re-versioning of the the TV show. I did not enjoy this movie but i love the TV series, especially season 7 which was top notch all the way.
