is it just me or did anyone notice that the C.C. was turned down or more subtle for the movie. like what happened to the Canadian flag on Ray's wheelchair? and they mention that they're in Canada or at least Nova Scotia a couple times each season, but nothing in the movie.

the only clues that it is in Canada is the toonies and loonies in the change ball and when Ricky guesses that Lucys new job is at Hortons...maybe there are more i dunno. i guess all of music is by Canadian band, but not everyone would pickup on that.

LOL well if you can't recognize The Tragically Hip you must not be Canadian, or at least living under a rock for the past 20 years. I don't think this film was 'lacking' in Canadian content. Any regular day in Canada you're going to see a looney or tooney, someone (somewhere...) is going to buy a double double at Timmy's, maybe pick up some lumber at Canadian Tire... And if you're REALLY lucky you might get one saying 'eh' (which we turn on more for the enjoyment of the American tourists). Plus we're not as obessed with our flag waving. But generally we're not THAT much different. In fact it would have been quite unbelievable (to a Canadian) if it had a lot of, as you call it 'Canadian content' (whatever you think that is). That just isn't how life is here. I mean what exactly did you expect them to do, build an igloo?

You're a producer. You want money in return from your film investment. Omit exclusive Canadian content, or be inclusive and allow the world to laugh with you?
