He died August 9, 2000? Why'd they change it to November 99 for the movie?

That's a good question. Fiesta is a Santa Barbara party that takes place in late July/early August. Come to think of it, why would they change it to Palm Springs?

No. Maybe. Bruce's father was serving in the military in West Germany when Bruce was born. Children born on a US military base are American citizens. His mother is German, though, so he may have dual citizenship.
