So basically...

Me and my cousin were talking about The Grudge 2 the other night and how the story has no resolution or a "happy ending." I went on to explain the movie by saying that it was about:

A woman who travels to Japan to pick up her sister who suddenly dies then eventually everyone else including the protagonist in that story dies, meanwhile 3 school girls enter the haunted house of where the supernatural occurrences originate from... then they all die. MEANWHILE... a bunch of people in an apartment complex in Chicago experience similar hauntings, so... they all die.

That's basically what happens in this movie. Don't get me wrong I do like the concept and some of the few cool scenes in this movie... its just that as a horror fan I don't like to say that horror movie's are about people dying. To me they're more about the thrill of the chase and the cinematography and general entertainment. And I always wish they had happy endings... The Grudge 2 is just so depressing! Like after the end... what is the actual message? There's nothing satisfying about an unforgivable ghost who always defeats the good guys. Come on Shimizu! Where is the love? Hahaha

Sigh. Listen to the mythology as its explained. Nothing at all can stop this thing. No one can escape. And it will grow and get worse. Part of the horror element in THIS franchise is that no on ever escapes. True horror is t for people wishing for happy endings.
