Did Karen escape the curse?
I always assumed she offed herself to avoid being killed by Kayako.

I don't think anyone can escape. That's what makes this movie so terrifying to me!

Bwahahahahaha! No one escapes the curse! I thought Kayako yanked her ssA over the edge of the building.
shareI don't think so, as when we see her in front of the hospital, there is a brief flash of Kayoko giving her a lovely cuddle (-I inferred that this meant that they would go on to have an eternity-lasting relationship, on which I congratulate them and wish them all the best!)
shareDon't forget right before she "fell" a hand came from behind her and pulled her head back so it's entirely possible she was pulled off the roof
