Isn't Toy Story really a Story about Codependency???

I mean think about it. All the toys in these movie. Tie there self worth to satisfying Andy. The Toys are often depressed throughout these movies. Not to mention other characters. If you look at several symptoms of codependency. The Toys show many of the signs.

Inability to tolerate being alone, accompanied by frantic efforts to avoid being alone,

chronic feelings of boredom and emptiness,

subordinating one's own needs to those of the person with whom one is involved,
overwhelming desire for acceptance and affection,

low self-worth.

Hey i had to ask.

I always thought it about the inevitability of growing old, feeling yourself becoming surplus to requirements while the next generation moves away and no longer needs to. Having cared for Andy and watched him grow up into a young man they have to accept that he has now outgrown them and moved on. That was my take anyway.

No. It's not about codependency.

Can't stop the signal.
