Are they all humans?
I assumed it was all human heads/faces on robot frames, but then when the one guy's face got cut off he's all robotics underneath it. Do they all have human brains inside? What about Alita, is she human?
shareAs far as I remember the manga, they all are humans, that "upgrade" via technology, becoming cyborgs in doing so. Like Robocop. Even those, who have mechanical heads/faces, bear a human brain (which may or may not have been upgraded as well).
