Ending [Spoilers]

So with that ending, is it suggesting that Clooney is our Batman again going forward?

reply

I took it to be more of a joke, and don't expect to see Clooney in anything else going forward.

reply

I didn't like that. Why, of all the actors who have played Batman, did they have to drag back the one from the absolute, hands-down worst Batman movie ever made?

I think it was just to effect a "soft reboot" and allow Warner Bros. to keep Miller as Flash (though why they'd want to I'll never understand, especially with the baggage the actor brings), and Momoa as Aquaman, while allowing them to jettison Cavill, Affleck, and Gadot from their respective roles.

And if they trot out a different Batman than Clooney in some later film, they'll probably explain that Barry went back to try and fix things somehow to bring "his" Batman back, but gave it up after it failed. They better not try to shoehorn Clooney back into the role on a permanent basis though, because A) he sucked, and B) he's too damn old.

It was obvious either George Clooney or Christian Bale was going to get out of Bruce Wayne's car.

I guess Clooney was available.

The DCEU ends with Aquaman 2 so unless there are scenes with Batman, this is the final time that we see Clooney in the role.

reply

Makes sense!

reply

I thought it was funny and surprising and didn't expect it! Guess George has mellowed over his hatred on that film over the years. Good stuff.

reply

Just a gag, I think.
