Normally I'm not one for narration, but...

Normally I don't care for narration in a film, as often times it's completely unnecessary and adds nothing to the film, except annoyance. This film, on the other hand, was different for me. While the narration wasn't necessary, it greatly enhanced this fantastic film.

Agreed. And the subtle voice of Dreyfuss just adds to the enjoyment of the film.

It's not Richard Dreyfuss. It's Hugh Ross.

Damn I'm stupid. I was just going off sound..lol...I would've sworn on it too. I just saw the film for the first time a few months ago and was astounded I'd never seen it. It's truly a great film. I finally decided to come on it's page. Silly me.

Yep, it is a great film for sure, and I can definitely understand why you thought it was Richard Dreyfuss, as Hugh Ross has a very similar inflection. It's quite similar sounding to Dreyfuss' narration of Stand By Me.

I feel silly but damn they sure sound very similar. His voice just adds an element of "realism" for lack of a better word.

I have to get the book now...
