shareIn the month of April 3 of 28 films are super hero films. 10.7%. Hollywood produces dramas, horror, romances, comedies, SF, Fantasy and other genres, even musicals. Through all of film history different genres have achieved popularity and resulted in Hollywood pursuing those genres.
Super Heroes are no different. Right now they are popular. Eventually another genre will take its place.
Frankly, Hollywood would be stupid not to produce films in popular genres. They would also be stupid not to produce films in less popular genres since not everyone will be a fan of any given genre.
Constant calls to stop making super heroes films are as ridiculous as calls not to make horror or westerns or whatever.
