Fun Comedy, Mediocre Ending - Mini-Review

Don't expect anything like the previous DC movies. This has more comedy than Guardians of the Galaxy and a cast as diverse as Spiderman: Homecoming. Remember, this is set in Philadelphia so it makes sense (residents are 44.1% black, 35.8% white, 13.6% Latino and 7.2% Asian).

I could stand Billy Batson acting childish as a grown man but I cringed seeing all of them in Shazam form, especially when the Asian kid starting doing references to Street Fighter. What's worse was they were able to adapt to their skills in short time minus Billy himself but they have yet to gain any Wisdom from Solomon. It was all more or less relying on their street sense as orphans/runaways/troubled kids.

The more glaring thing I noticed was that they act a lot like the young adults you seen from GenZ even though they're still, kids. Putting that in mind, I would say the rest of the population are dumb as bricks in the sense that even though Shazam is way more openly exposed to identity reveal than Superman, they still wouldn't be able to tell it was Billy himself even though the group home kids figured it out.

Can't wait for Mister Mind in the Shazam sequel, what a cute little evil space worm. Even more funny was that Superman looked way skinnier in this movie than the other DC movies including Shazam himself. I just noticed Suicide Squad, Justice League, Aquaman, and now Shazam have post-credit scenes. Wondering if they're following the trend of Marvel.

Note: Shazam is the original Captain Marvel before Marvel came along to you know what.
