"and we're not really gonna screw"
What did she mean when she said that?

In that scene, she said that if he was not going to help her with her article by leaking information and since they could not be romantically involved given the circumstances (they were in the jungle in the middle of a civil war against the government) that Danny should leave her alone. By 'we're not really gonna screw' she meant sleeping with each other. Throughout the film, there seems to be some attraction between the two, taking many forms - first, at the beach bar, romantic attraction, then later in the film emotional bonding. Basically, she spoke bitter-sweetly ironically to him, perhaps regretting the fact that they could not be together because they had found each other at a difficult time where they were both pursuing other things - Danny, the diamond, and Maddy, her article/journalism. I hope this clears it up for you.
