Most of the film was great...

...only the final fight should have been better. The villain needed more character development aswell.

reply

Agreed. It is no different than the other “epic” final battles in DCEU movies. In other words, it’s underwhelming... but I’ll let it slide since most of the movie does succeed.

reply

Yeah the final battle was boring.

reply

It's true. It's not a flawless film, it's just a good fun film that came out of a morass of terrible films, the horrible DCEU.

So I forgive it for being flawed.

reply

I wish DC made a new universe with this film as the beginning and canceled the current one.

reply

I think the official corporate police with "Justice League" was "make it more like 'Wonder Woman'!", but it doesn't sound like they succeeded.

Of course it wasn't possible to take Zack Snyder DCEU footage and make it into something that good, so I haven't seen "JL". I've had it with the DCEU, unless Patty Jenkins is running it.

reply

Aquaman could maybe be good but the predecessors (except Wonder Woman) ruined this franchise so much that a lot of people have lost interest in it. I don't even know if a reboot can increase audiences interest even though it helped Spider-Man.

reply

I found it hard to see past the moustache.

reply

The Hulk movie with Edward Norton also suffered from a lackluster final fight.

reply

Doesn't make WWs final battle better.

reply

Hulk's final fight was better than WW, for sure.

reply

Yeah it is, I found WWs final battle boring. At least Hulks had more action.

reply

Overall, WW has really paled in my memory. The secretary lady was the best, but underused. Seems like all her scenes were already in the commercials and trailers.

It's pretty sad that Suicide Squad was a much more interesting movie, even if it was worse in ways. At least it had some fun scenes.

reply

Agreed. I really enjoyed the film except for the ending battle and I think it's because it was just the same ole same old big bad repetitive fight that we see in almost every CB movie and it did draw the film out a bit too far. It would have been more interesting to keep Ares hidden until maybe the second or third film in my opinion.
