It looked like less than six feet shorter, and at least for the purposes of verisimilitude the room was conveniently long and narrow to begin with, so shaving maybe 5 feet off of its depth wouldn't be apparent to anyone unless they went in there a lot.
shareI thought about this too. The bigger problem is how you rearrange the supplies. I guess people might think the police took them down to search everywhere and put them back wrong.
